As part of the "La Manche met les villes en scène" festival, join us at the "le Virage" cultural center in Saint-Jean-d'Elle (Précorbin) for a concert by artist Lewis Evans.

A child of Liverpool and Norman by adoption, Lewis Evans crafts his songs like hits, a science inspired by the songwriting of the Beatles and the anthems of Oasis.

Boosting self-confidence, stimulating the intellect, anti-depressant effect? For psychologists, convinced of the benefits of gardening, Lewis Evans is a formidable case study: in the spring of 2021, as an intern with Granville?s green spaces department, he has rediscovered the meaning of his musical career
the meaning of his musical career.
For months, he had been looking at it in the rear-view mirror, having archived his memories of singing with the Lanskies and his solo years marked by some fine collaborations (Juliette Armanet, Kerenn Ann, Herman Dune, Gaëtan Roussel?). Too difficult to make a living from his art? And yet, pruning shears in hand, melodies came to him like revelations.
The result of this horticultural epiphany is L'Ascension. An album of refined pop, arranged with great care. Strings, brass and oriental instruments keep the guitar company, on folk-celto-pop songs with a playful spirit. A fun and enchanting album. Join in the farandole!
